hmm..i had not been aware that reference is made to exactly where the Tuatha  came from. all i recall is "the north, and their cities of learning" or "from the air"- or something akin that (hafta look up in my books the actual wording, if it gets important). and, i did not know that they "fled" their original homeland prior to landing on Ireland's shores. *p*i have not many books to look this stuff up, but it is not in the few that i have. so i may just not have been able to see those passages yet.*p*as for the Necromancy, are you refereing to the cauldron that brought back the vigour to wounded soldiers and life to the fallen in the Battle of Mag Tuired?...or the club of In Dagda?- which one end could bring death to those it touches, and the other end restore life. (and, could this just be the same club with which he carved the land?, and, could either of these be the large phallus he is described as having?)*p* other than those, i am unaware of Necromancy among the Tuatha. then again, i do not have many books to learn from..but these are all i do know about. as far as being True Masters....i would dare say that these are the Arts they learned while in the Otherworld and from the 4 magical cities of learning. and, also that these acts were performed by items they possessed, which may not have been made or even brought with them..i am not aware of the tales ever saying that they made these items or that they indeed carried them onto the shores of Ireland. i do know that when the 4 magical treasures are spoken of, it never actually states that they were brought by them- instead it states that they each was brought from one of the cities, and eventually passed into possession of one of the gods (except of course the Lia Fail). no agent is named in bringing them over to Ireland. so since they never say either way (that i am aware of) of the origin of these other items, what i am inclined to say is: it may not be imporatant how they got these items, only that they have them and have learned (maybe as much as mastered) the Art of using them.*p*just a few random thoughts early in the morning.*p*slainte*br* Red Turtle*br*
