Triad For Today TopazOwl Mon Jul 27 16:12:40 1998 "Three instructions not wise to believe: what a person imparts*br*in support of what is for their own profit and success; what one*br*imparts with hatred to another; and what a person wise in their*br*own eyes imparts."*p* The triads are designed so that the final of the three phrases is the strongest, or the 'punch line.' So though all of these things are true in their way, the last one is considered to be the one with emphasis, and is actually the point of the triad's instruction.*p* Rarely does one meet a true Druid who is wise in their own eyes. That is because increased knowledge is directly related to a feeling of increased stupidity. :-) In other words, the more one knows, the more one realizes that they have only touched the tip of the iceburg -- more knowledge allows one to realize that there is *so* much more to learn.*p* When one sees through these eyes, one sees not concrete answers, but infinite possibilities which stir up endless questions. So, who is really wise? Nothing can humble you faster than the practice of Drai/ocht, making it impossible to be wise in your own eyes. :-)*p*Just my thoughts for the day,*p*Leigh*p*
