translation of old manuscripts

A friend of mine asked me recently if I know (know of) anyone or any group who has gone into the old manuscripts and writings and has "de-christianized" the works. He is interested in knowing the legends and tales without the christian overtones. *p*I told him I know of a few people I could ask. *p*I also told him that given the Irish way of looking at things, it is not out of the question that the christian overtones and glossings are meant to have occured to the legends and tales, that Creation is not a once-and-for-all thing..it is a ongoing process. And given that, I am myself not sure if people might be missing something important in even trying to learn the Irish Celtic ways today with those overtones removed.*p*Any thoughts on this, or any directions I might send my friend?*p*Slainte, Mvto,*br*Michael RedTurtle
