A Call For Mythology Taliesin_2 shane@cais.com Tue Aug 25 22:34:14 1998 We know the mythologies of the Deities. But we know so little about*br*the other facets of Celtic or Druidic Mythology. I think it would be *br*nice if we were have a mythology section (just an opinion) in The*br*Summerlands. Not only would this mythology section hold the mythology (in their entirety) of the Deities, but of the animals they hold sacred. As well as the animals (the same ones?) that the Druids or Celts held sacred. But I'm also interested in the creatures/entities of the Celtic Realms, i.e. the pooka. In Greek Mythology, we know of the Hydra, The Gorgon Sisters, etc. And somehow I feel we are leaving out a great deal of our heritage by a round-about way ignoring this section of our heritage. Whether the creatures/entities are good or evil, we can still learn lessons from them. I am thinking of stories*br*about these creatures/entities to be akin to the NA stories of animals. The one about how the Vulture got its feathers come to mind. Or something akin to that with greater detail. Any thoughts?
