Quit often, hunters have their kills processed, resulting in the availability of many deer hides.  I know that Deborah and I have had such hides from her father's hunting.*p*Another place to find all types of leather is Tandy Leather, with outlets practically everywhere.  I purchased the cowhide to make my sporan from them.  They even have "bag" kits of all sizes.
