Course Of Study Books Lists GreyWolf greywolf@summerlands.com Tue Sep 29 18:44:45 1998 Course Of Study Books Lists*p*After briefly discussing this idea with Deb and Searles, we want to start working on pulling together a course of studies book, video and audiotape list. I will volunteer to be the central focus point and gather all information. I will present the total recommendations and we can work from there in terms of getting a recommended list of resources together. Eventually I want to add a new section to the bookstore to reflect the community's inputs and to have Searles and Deb also put the list somewhere in the Summerlands Site as a general guide and resource.*p*Now, what the initial idea revolves around is:*p*Send me a list of no more than 5 books (in a category) that you would recommend to 1) a beginner, 2) an intermediate level of knowledge person and 3) for an advanced student. In total you would recommend no more than 15 books, 5 per level in a specific topic area such as Brehon Law, or on learning Irish.*p*I will ask that you specify a classification for each book you recommend, i.e. Celtic Mythology, Language, Law, Kitchen Witch, Celtic History, Cooking, Crafts, Healing, etc, what ever classifications or specialty you wish to make suggestions about. Your recommendations can cover any and all aspects of Celtic life, culture, spirituality, or any other useful information such as Feng Shui, Meditation Guides, alternate home building techniques, etc. Basically if you think it is of benefit for people to read and study, tell me about it.*p*Obviously, the central idea is to help people make intelligent choices in the books they choose to read to help them develop along their chosen path. We want to give them our personal/teaching favorites for beginning, intermediate and advanced students/seekers.*p*I will also ask why you picked the books or resources that you did. We will need to give a brief description of what the resource contains and why it is felt that it a good resource, i.e. justify your choices.*p*OK, Please go off and think about this request and pull together your recommendations and send them to me. *p*This could become a very powerful and useful listing of resources if we all pitch in and let each other know what we consider to be the best resources available for study.*p*Thanks - GreyWolf*br*
