I was using it in a general way, meaning anybody. It was an example of the way we look at the world: if my knowledge base is deeply secure in Celtic worldview, I would interpret the sign from that worldview first. Then I might go to other interpretations that I know from other cultures to see how it fits into the Celtic worldview that I am looking at it from originally. But if we don't have that Celtic base of knowledge, our interpretations might be quite different when we run across an omen. In fact, we might not even recognize something as an omen when we see it if we don't know the way the ancients would have seen it.*p*: I feel like you are implying that my definition of 'A Ruadh' *br*: is not a correct one according to acknowledged *br*: interpretation. (Wait, wait, we're on the same side! <g>) It has nothing to do with 'A Ruadh' or that silly NG. *p*: Nothing but unrestricted approval here - I sure hope you've *br*: never taken my tirade at this 'other place' as an attempt of *br*: one self-proclaimed to silence another self-proclaimed... *p* Nope. You'd be amazed how many warriors were called "Druid" in later life. *p*Leigh Re: Recognizing Druids 1 X 2 Willows 237 Mon Oct 26 16:39:00 1998
