Our structure should be based upon the work *br*: that we can do and the work that we have done IMO. The *br*: closest I can see in present day life would be an academic *br*: environment, though we can probably see a tripartite *br*: division to skills and production based on the military, *br*: trade/apprenticeship systems as well. In addition to that *br*: aspect, we have to consider what a "family" would *br*: be. More later after I've settled in from our trip, *br*: finished some technical details in The Summerlands and have *br*: participated in our Samhain rituals.*p*So in other words our 'nemed', going outside of the in stricto senso meaning of the word, would be those individuals who run classes, or various other means of teaching/education (including trade/apprenticeship), and/or are in charge of a site within the community. Es verdad, si? *p*: We define "kin" in The Summerlands by hearths, *br*: fosterage, declaration and affirmation. We also define it *br*: by birth and marriage, even by dedication and artisitic *br*: affiliation. Maybe people could become or be kin by adding *br*: a kin name to their online names?*p*Hmmm... Interesting, I think that would be useful. Although the manner of setting up a means to which the person would be able to establish 'kinship' is an interesting challenge in that, hypothetically, one might not know how their name fits into relation with the others, so they might wish to join with someone else who has similar interest and form a clan. This would then provide, possibly, a basis with which to start with when deciding upon rules and/or laws that affect the community.*p*: I think everyone is unique within The Sumnmerlands and that *br*: we are just now defining how it is that we can accomplish *br*: our work together. This is a long term and evolutionary *br*: process that will occur through natural growth and the *br*: ackmowledgement of necessary relationships as determined by *br*: ability and need.*p*Agreed...*p*: Much consideration and evaluationof the social and working *br*: structure of The Summerlands before we can implement the *br*: laws effectively (or even determine which to keep, which to *br*: change and which to leave behind).*p*Also agreed...*p*: The physical structure of The Summerlands is set up in much *br*: the same way that Ireland is defined by the Seanchaí Fintain *br*: in the tale, "The Settling of the Manor of Tara."*br*:*br*: That is:*br*:*br*: Battle to the North*br*:*br*: Prosperity to the East*br*:*br*: Harmony to the South*br*:*br*: Knowledge to the West*br*:*br*: Sovereignty inthe Center.*p*Hmmmm... In which case I think a better location would then be in the South-West, in order to have a balance between harmony and knowledge in lieu of north.*p*: The esoteric aspects should probably follow the qualties of *br*: the Ogham and the realms as I've outlined them in my book. *br*: I'll post more about this after my head has cleared (which *br*: means probably on the coming weekend).*br*:*br*: Searles*p*I hope you have an enjoyable Samhain Rite... My will be coming up on the 6th of November, due mainly to Trick-or-Treating for the last four days of October and an ADF event that prevented some of our members from attending the rite had it been held on the last three days of October. *Shrug* Anyways, may the search for truth continue.*p*Slan go foill,*p*Aicerno OCathasaigh*br* Re: Update on progress: Re.
