Re: The Goddess Danu Searles Fri Nov 13 17:23:05 1998 This is one of the "giants" that is carved into the chalk hills of Dorsett I believe in Britain. It's one of many such large scale hill drawing/figures. Some of these have been dated using dendro-chronolgy to the 13th century BCE. I looks like The Dagda to me, though his "lorg" has been expanded by the attentions of the local populace I believe.:-)*p*It can be found in many books on British Celts and Archaeology. I'll look them up when I return from work.*p*Searles*p**br*Willows wrote,*br*: Slightly OT here, but I was wondering, If anybody would know *br*: the source of this picture, supposedly showing the Dagda?*br*:*br*: Where was the original found, how old, where is it today, *br*: etc...?*br*:*br*: Blessings*br*: Dan*br*:*br*: *br*: Searles wrote,*br*: : "The Goddess Danu"*br*: [....]*br* Re: The Goddess Danu Willows 268 Thu Nov 12 19:12:32 1998
