Re: Possible Course Listing Searles Mon Feb 22 08:26:07 1999 I think a course entitled something like "Spirititual Science," would be necessary to become a Druid. It is not enough to understand the mechanics. One must also embrace the inner workings of Nature and Science. To that end, I think an understanding of the state of the art in quantum physics or field theory would be a tremendous boost to bridging the gap. Taking this course does not mean that one needs to become a physicist to accomplish this goal. These courses could be tailored to the needs of the Druidic community. Maybe we could call it "Appreciation of Quantum Theory and Relativity?" It could use a book by Stephen Hawking as a textbook.*p*Searles*p**br*Beirdd wrote,*br*: GreyWolf wrote,*br*:*br*: :*br*: : From my perspective and since this is to be a course of *br*: : Druidic study for the "modern world" - then I *br*: : think that a bit more basic science background would be *br*: : needed. *br*: :*br*<snip>*p*: I agree with your premise regarding the need for sciences *br*: other than the natural ones.
