Who has a better right to the hospitality of *br*: her former home and a Sunday dinner than a daughter and her *br*: family?? My family was a real extended family on Sundays, *br*: whether it be at our house, my grandparents' house, or my *br*: uncle's house. Sunday was always "family day," and *br*: my parents and grandparents would never have it otherwise.*br*:*br*: There is no limit to Celtic hospitality. There is a *br*: story I recall where a king had to keep providing for even *br*: unwelcome guests for as long as they stayed under his roof, *br*: and the length of their stay was not determined by him, but *br*: by them. Probably Searles can come up with the names and *br*: particulars of this tale, as I just can't dredge it up out *br*: of this failing memory right now.*br*:*br*: I must admit that I find this a rather odd question. *br*: Don't you like your sister?*br*:*br*: Leigh*p*You both are getting the wrong picture, which is my fault. :( Its not my sister I have a problem with, but my brother-in-law. He is a military brat & his dad was out at sea in the Navy during his early years. He lacks a lot of self discipline. And maturity. :( He comes over and helps himself to the food in the house. Most times without asking if he can help himself. If he comes in and my Mom is watching The Nashville Network or I'm watching a movie, he comes in and wants to change the channel to see what the sports scores are. Mostly because he has money on them in a "pool". :( Most times he comes across as nothing is more important than _his_ needs. I try to understand where he is coming from, but every time I do I end up getting lost. :( I'm sure if he lacks manners or discipline, but I was hoping for references to the hospitality laws regarding a situation like this. Of course, it seems I alone have the _MOST_ dysfunctional family on Danu's face (or the face of the Earth). <sigh> Re: The Hospitality Laws & Family TopazOwl 441 Mon Apr 26 00:21:23 1999
