Re: Musings on the Shape of Rituals Michael the Watcher michael.kriesch@studentmail.newcastle.edu.au Mon Nov 8 20:02:56 1999 In response to Searles' thoughts, I would like to say that I agree with the reasoning and intent behind the Ritual form he described.*br*I have been fortunate to have participated in many workings and magiks*br*with many different groups from many different paths, the rituals which have been the most profound and inspiring were those that included people whose role was to act as the regulators of the flow of energy/power/light/force(for the Jedi). I have found that in larger groups the flow of energy is often erratic and fluctuating, having persons whose ritual role is to work the energy, cleanse it, balance it, etc., is an important aspect of such group workings as it helps createa more beneficial and connected situation for all.*br*At Sheri and my wedding we used a linked circle of all those present,*br*then inside the circle were four callers for the corners, then inside the four corners was a triune of Sheri, Dekyon (priestess and dear friend) and myself. Around the whole assembly circled musicians in both directions, the effect of this structure was to focus the energy *br*into the centre and as it passed through the various levels it came to be focused and formed a joyous cone of power. Considering it involved*br*over sixty people it was surprisingly clean and stable. But I digress,*br*all I really wanted to say was I liked and agreed with Searles' thoughts.*p*Under the Oaks and from the Stone, The Watcher and clan, Australia!!!*br* Musings on the Shape of Rituals Searles O'Dubhain 530 Sun Oct 24 14:57:18 1999
