I am writing this is hopes of gaining some *br*: knowledge. Searles & I were in chat & I had asked him if the *br*: Druid faith allows for belief of the existance of Vampires & *br*: Werewolves. I Philip Carr-Gomm's Druid Animal Oracle he *br*: states there is no such thing as werewolves. That the *br*: Werewolf myth has its roots as Druids in wolves skins/hides *br*: viewed from afar by non-Druids. So my question is this: Is *br*: there room in the Druid faith to allow for the belief of *br*: existance of such Entities? I do not think that it would be beyond believibility, to say that there are such things as werewolves and vampyres within Druidic faith due to the common referrences in classical literature describing the Druids ability to shapeshift, and three of the most common animals in those referrences are: Wolves, Stags, and Boar (I believe). As far as Vampyric entities are concerned; there is also room in druidic faith for them as well. I believe that creatures like the Pooka, fall under that category; as well as it is possible that once there was in Celtica, a cult who required the drinking of human blood; such cults, I've read, have existed since the rise of ancient agriculture in the middle east near Summeria, so it's not improbable that the Celts had something along those lines...*br*And even Mr. Carr-Gomm admits to a common druidic belief in dragons...*p*Well, those are my thoughts on the subject...*br* Druidry, Vampires and Werwolves Taliesin_2 58 Fri May 22 19:05:08 1998
