a friend of mine just got a book about the mummies found over in asia.*br*the book goes to describe that these celts (yes celts, they found tartans and all) were there before the chinese and such...as early as around 2500 bce. they say that there are griffon carvings all over around there. they were not brought over by the celts, they are said to have been there before (by a chinese historian , the equivalent of heroditus). they are sayd to not be mythical to the area, but to have really existed! these griffons were there before anyone, and guarded the gold. they came back to europe as legends and myth.*p*i have not read the book yet, as he is unwilling to yield it to me yet. but i will post agian as soon  as i read the book.*p*blessings*br*mique
