Nine Qualities of the Self and Five Parts of the World Searles O'Dubhain Sun Sep 10 23:25:31 2000 Nine Qualities of the Self and Five Parts of the World*p*There are many lists of elemental qualities. These are the ones I use for the Dúile (the nine elemental qualities of the self):*p*Stone, Land, Nature, Sea, Wind, Moon, Sun, Stars, Sky.*p*Here's how Fintan, the oldest Seanchaí, and Trefuilngid Tre-eochair, the regulator of the Sun's rising, listed the qualities associated with the five parts of Ireland. It can be used as a cosmology for various rituals and workings. To be fully effective, the meanings of many of these qualities should be studied relative to the times of their assignment and the time of their translation.
