Re: Druids Created the World Searles Sat Nov 11 02:55:16 2000 I agree with mique's understanding that the Druids in one sense meant that they aided the world in its continuous creation but I also think they meant more than this. Perhaps they had experiences of becoming, that actually placed them at the point of creation, as well as the point of annilation? Doesn't Taliesin say somewhere in one of his poems that he has existed all throughout time? What does this mean to Druidic theology and philosophy if he truly said such a thing? What does it mean if he actually experienced such events? What does it mean if he participated in them?*p*Searles*p*mique wrote,*br*: searles..*br*:*br*: it has always been taught to me that to the celts there is *br*: no creation myth (per se)..the world already wuz *br*: formed..they simply focus on evolving and progressing. in *br*: fact that is the main tenet i have been taught that druidry *br*: is: "progress".*br*:*br*: and based on that, i would say that the druids did not mean *br*: that they actually created the universe from non-existence. *br*: but, more appropriately, they meant that they are the ones *br*: responsible for the changes that took place. thus they are *br*: the ones that kept/keep "re"creating the universe.*br*:*br*: blessings*br*: mique*br* Re: Druids Created the World mique 738 Fri Nov 10 19:26:14 2000
