Daibhaid OBroder daibhaid@summerlands.com Tue Dec 5 09:43:11 2000 : Well, I would love to read what the faccist Rush said, but I *br*: can't find the article on his site. I copy and paste it *br*: into my browser, and I get a Page Missing error.*br*:*br*: Searching for it is no help either, as it seems that *br*: Rush-ian redoes his entire site daily.*br*:*br*: So, Daibhaid, if you have the article, I would love to see *br*: it and comment on it then. Thanks.*br*:*br*: Daven*p*Sure, btw he does clear and change the site daily, here is the script that can be found in the Healing folder as well. *p*http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/home/today/TIMBER_UPDATE.html*br* "Amid all the talk of the famed "butterfly ballot," another famous butterfly made news. Environmentalist wacko activist Julia Butterfly Hill collapsed in tears yesterday at the base of "Luna," the majestic redwood tree she had lived in for two years. She was clutching at the tree's base where a chainsaw-wielding vandal recently hacked a potentially fatal gash. *br* Julia Butterfly Hill, who for two-years sat high in the branches of the 200-foot tree that she dubbed "Luna" won international headlines and eventually saved the tree from the logger's axe. Hill said that she was appalled by this brutal attack on a 1,000-year-old symbol of northern California's environmental movement. *br* A tree is a symbol of the environmental movement? I would think a pile of elephant dung is more a symbol of the environmental movement than a tree is."*p*Interesting concept however is that even with the signicance of the great tree and I will be the first to admit I was a bit p'oed at the pics shown of the cut. I have to wonder if like what Searles suggested earlier, Rush isn't just a tad right? After all, the redwood is a great symbol no doubt, but the elephants dung is providing nutrients and fertilizer to the earth which is an ongoing process versus a tree which only has the purpose of growing, some to provide fruits and nuts, some to provide lumber, mostly to provide oxygen. Therefore, both have a purpose but which purpose is the greater? BTW this post is meant not only for Daven but for the other 200+ members out there that haven't posted lately! ;) ::hinthintnudgenudge!!:: (OK admittedly that last was as subtle as a bit of flatulence in a bathosphere! :^> But it's wake up time folks, get your proverbial butts in gear and start making use of your membership! BTW this is directed not to the regulars but to those who have joined and are being quiet out there in etherland!)*p*Daibhaid*br* Re: One Monument in danger... Daven 747 Mon Dec 4 12:59:18 2000
