I just received the books "Ritual", by Emma Restall Orr; and "Celtic Devotional", by Caitlin Matthews.  And I am thrilled with what I've read.*p*While reading "Ritual" I was suddenly looking at myself as a young child:  at the annual picnic I would find some time to sit alone on the swing. I would get the swing going as high as it would go and  then I would revel in the feel of the wind, the sound of the river, the birds - and  I would begin to sing.  Not formed songs, the words and tune would bubble up almost by themselves. I was truly at peace.*p*Although I often think  of those happy picnic's I have never "relived" the feelings I had while swinging. It dawned on me that what I had experienced was Awen.  That is what I am  striving for again.  *p*Taryn*br*
