Re: Weather Divination Searles Fri Dec 22 12:07:55 2000 There were certain flocks of birds that would appear shortly before the snow storms of winter. This unusual number of birds would alert anyone who was observing that a change in the weather was "blowing in." Also animals seem to have a sixth sense about changes in the approaching weather. I've observed them feeding and stocking up in anticipation of incement weather approaching (and there being no opportunity to eat due to rain, sleet, snow or hail). In a similar manner, the habits of animals, their fur growth and their daily patterns seem to change when winter is approaching. Trees also give some evidence of this sort of fore knowledge about the weather (losing leaves early of going dormant). I suspect that there are patterns in the clouds, the plants and the animals that Druids could sense in a type of matrix awareness that served to form their forecasts about weather changes in general.*p*Searles*p*Taliesin2 wrote,*br*: I'm aware that Druids predicted the weathr by reading the *br*: clouds and the patterns of the birds. I assume this much is *br*: correct. If true, then how did they predict the fall of snow *br*: of the sky was overcast or just grey? I think it would have *br*: made it trhat much harder...
