The Illumined One*br*(from "The Bhagavad Gita")*p*Not shaken by adversity,*br*Not longing for happiness:*br*Free from fear, free from anger,*br*Free from things of desire.*br*I call that one a seer, and illumined.*p*The bonds of the flesh are broken.*br*He is lucky, and does not celebrate:*br*She is unlucky, and does not cry.*br*I call that one a seer, and illumined.*p*The turtle can withdraw his legs:*br*The seer can draw in his senses.*br*I call that one illumined.*p*Even a mind that knows the way*br*can be drawn apart from it:*br*The senses are unruly.*br*But this one controls his senses*br*and recollects his mind*br*and fixes it on me.*br*I call this one a seer, and illumined.
