Re: Quote of the Day Misunderstandings Infiniti Mon Oct 5 07:53:46 1998 Deborah (& Searles)*p*I have been re"read"ing a few things over and over in my mind, and I feel that, maybe, something need be said - about myself.*p*First off, however, waaaaaaay back there at the begining of this thread, up there in the clouds (it's a long way back up this thread) to the very first post to this thread about Slurr and his comment. I agree, Deb. He said on thing and did another. I personally would like to kick him in the balls for giving myself and my party a bad name. We have enough politicians to do that for us (and I seem to be doing a good job of it), we didn't need his try at it.*p*I posted to this thread, originally, and continued to do so afterwards, because I truly wanted to come to an understanding on the viewpoint of "the other side". I have tried to do this elsewhere, but generally only got my head bit off (many times, it wasn't even that nice). I did so here with the belief that would not happen. However, I have also reread the posts that were made to me, as well as the ones that I made, and I do see that I may have, by sheer force of habit when dealing with political "opposition", not worded MY post in the best way. For this I deeply apologize. Moreover, as I am only one man, it is sometimes hard for me to see a different view. I had made these posts so as to _better_ understand your (Deborah) view. I realize that with my not-so grandeous wording, I may have damaged the meaning and intent behind it.*p*Additionally, after having reread your (Deborah) post just previously, I see that, more or less, you had told me what Searles told me later. It would appear that I did not see the meaning in (amongst) the words, in much the same way a person does not see the forest amongst the trees (for some reason that doesn't sound right, probably goofed that too).*p*I like the search for knowledge almost as much as I like knowledge itself. As such, I like to listen to people, and it often times doesn't matter the subject. However, I am a bit new to the internet forum/chat/message thing, and am finding that, when no one is spaeking for me to listen to, the best way to get them started has been by asking questions. In the real world I'd probably do something like stick a bottle rocket up their butt and tell them, talk or I light it. <G> That is not a very diplomatic way to deal with things, and surely wouldn't work on the net. In asking my questions, though, I feel that I may have offend you, or others, and I type this so that there may be a better understanding between us.*p*After having been down the road of politics with you (Deborah) twice now, I can see that it is a very personal (for lack of a better word) thing to you. I can see that, by a inadaquately frased question or two, I may have hurt you, and I apologize (Bierdd's going to cook my butt now, I just know it <G>). In the future, I will make a point to direct any questions I have of a political nature to others, and I shall strive to keep them out of eye or ear shot to you (Yo, 1x2 Willows, what's your standing on our politics? <G>).*p*And Beirdd, I ain't gots no problams wit mi enlish er gramma. I's is ain edjamacated purson. <G>*p*Best regards and blessings*br*(and seriously hoping you have slept better than I have)*p*Michael Re: Quote of the Day Infiniti 167 Mon Oct 5 00:58:50 1998
