The Druidic Triads Searles Fri Jan 15 14:45:51 1999 I've begun a listing of "The Druidic Triads" in The Summerlands Public Library that includes the original Triad in Old Irish, its translation into English at the turn of the last century by the noted Celticist, Kuno Meyer, and also includes a Pagan version that is derived from a discussion of the original meanings of the Old Irish terms.*p*I expect this list to grow steadily, though not all of the Triads need to be discussed (as many of them are easily understood in Meyer's translations). These will be listed in Old Irish and English. Others will be fleshed out with cultural information and stories from the Dindshenchas or "place name" stories from early Ireland.*p**br*We'll be conducting ongoing discussions of these Triads at An Daire Draiochta, The Druids' Gathering, in The Summerlands itself (that's in the West towards the Temple of the Moon and the Great Sea). Hope to see you there and to grow in learning with you.*p*Searles http://www.summerlands.com/crossroads/library/triads.htm The Druidic Triads http://www.summerlands.com/crossroads/images/GOLD10.gif
