This follows a traditional belief that this person would be like Jesus in almost every way (including his religion) but in reality would be "inspired" by the forces of evil and Satan. Like matter / anti-matter...get it?*p*It seems that the response of the media as a whole was more indignant than that of the Jewish community...an official of the American Jewish Congress commented that the statement is "unfortunate" but recognized that it has a basis in a Christian tradition which is very old and, in a theological way, makes some sense.
