Re: ADF & Keltria Jenny jennyg@compuserve.com Thu Apr 1 09:51:40 1999 I used to be a member of ADF for a little while (before deciding that Druidry wasn't the path for me) and I really enjoyed it. I went to the grove in Syracuse, NY, and found the people wonderfully supportive and friendly.*p*ADF's standards for historical research were splendid, the best I've ever seen in my (admittedly limited) exploration of Pagan groups. They not only recommended good books to read, they warned you away from the poorly researched ones, like Robert Graves _The White Goddess_.*p*The study guide was as demanding as anything required by Christian seminaries -- a fact that I liked, though it put off some people who thought that being a priestess/Druid ought to be easy. ADF worked hard to ensure that people who claimed the highest degrees would be not only educated, but well-rounded.*p*But the bottom line is, they were fun, nice people! I like them so much I seriously considered staying on, even after it was clear this wasn't my path.*p*Haven't had any experience with Keltria, so I can't help you there.*p*Jenny ADF & Keltria Taliesin_2 340 Thu Apr 1 00:14:46 1999
