It was before the sun rose*br*and the white refulgent grace of the goddess radiated from beneath*br*the shadows of an indigo sky. Her presence seemed to communicate the*br*following lines:*p*Millennium Dawn*p*This morning –*br*I saw the moon.*br*She lingered in compassion*br*pressing her cheek*br*like a calyx lily*br*against the fingertips of dawn.*br*Gently, she touched*br*the hand of day.*br*Softly, she lit *br*the blackened wick*br*of my senses.*br*Once again*br*I could smell the wind’s freedom;*br*and see leaves curling*br*in closure*br*like eyelids to mute the past*br*and summon new dreams*br*for this day*br*and a thousand more to come.*br*
