Ogham Divination Class Registrations Starting Searles O'Dubhain searles@summerlands.com Tue Jan 25 12:29:26 2000 Calling All Students!!!*p*The Summerlands is pleased to announce that Searles O'Dubhain will once again be teaching his fascinating course in Ogham Divination. In the past, this course has been one of the most popular and often requested of all the Summerlands courses. This session promises to be the best yet, because he has finished his book on Ogham Divination and is using it as the textbook for the class. Just think, you can be one of the first people to be able to read the book (before it even gets printed!)*p*If you'd like to see a copy of the Book and Class Outline,* I've included one at the end of this email for your perusal. I've tried to list all the pertinent information for the class below. If there is anything that I've overlooked or that you need to know but don't see below, please feel free to email me.*p*CLASS: Ogham Divination*br*INSTRUCTOR: Searles O'Dubhain*br*DATES: February 15 - April 4, 2000 (8 weeks)*br*DAY: Tuesday*br*TIME: 9PM Eastern Standard Time*p*TEXTBOOK: Ogham Divination: A Study in Recreating and Discovering the Ancient Ways of the Druids by Searles O'Dubhain (available prior to printing in download format exclusively to the students in the class)*p*METHODOLOGY: Classes are held in real time on our IRC channel. They last for approximately 2 hours each and are presented in a lecture/question and answer format. There is a private message board for the exclusive use of the students in the class. Homework is assigned and turned in via email to the instructor. Class materials are downloaded directly by students from a password protected class webpage at The Summerlands.*p*CORRESPONDENCE STUDENTS: Considering the challenges presented by time zone differences around the world and also because we understand that scheduling conflicts are real possibilities in this world in which we live, up to 25% of the students may take the class via correspondence method if they absolutely need to. This is handled exactly the same way that attending students manage it, except that in lieu of being able to attend the live lectures, the correspondence students will read the class transcript off of the message board (where it will all be posted weekly). Questions and answers can be handled via the message board, or the email.*p*CLASS SIZE: Classes are limited to 20 people. New students have priority over those returning students who are auditing the course. Register now to ensure your place in this new class.*p*FEE: $50 USD ($40 is class fee, $10 is materials fee)*p*TERMS: Student must be registered and class fee paid prior to receiving access password and location directions for the class. Fees are due in full prior to night of first class. Preferred method of payment is U.S. Postal Money Orders. Personal checks must clear bank prior to first class. Visa and Mastercard are accepted. (I know that this represents a tightening up of the way we have handled class fees in the past, but we have had to take this action due to non-payment by some students. I hope that this does not present an undue hardship to anyone and that you will all understand the necessity of this action.
