Re: Quarter Cakes mike Thu Apr 19 09:49:31 2001 in a related note... i have a list of traditional irish and scottish recipes (almost all of which call for whiskey...lol..go figure!). one thing i came across is a treat called highland biscuits. these are really cookies. and all the cll for is flour, sugar, butter/margarine (preference) and that is about it. so really they are like shortbread cookies. they are good, and easy &quick and relatively not so messy to make. (from start to eating them i say takes no more than an hour). this is going to be what i take to rituals with me, i am gonna (starting tonight) make tehm every week for bagpipe practice (seems only proper to present scottish treats while learning a scottish instrument such as the pipes). and i love pecan sandies and such, so i am going to be experimenting with adiing stuff into them like chopped pecans (and others as my inspiration flows).*p*if interestd, i could post the recipe ,and the few modifications i have made, into the kitchen *p*blessings*br*mike Quarter Cakes Stacey 747 Sun Apr 15 00:57:55 2001
