Re: Alternative Views of Recent Terrorist acts Searles Sat Sep 22 18:58:24 2001 I think that there will be many, many different opinions about what happened on September 11, 2001 at the World Trade Center in New York, at the Pentagon in Washington and onboard the plane that crashed in Pennsylvania.*p*What we can say for sure is that many thousands of *innocent* people lost their lives to the acts of terrorists hijackers. The paper trail and the identification trail leads to terrorists groups like bin Laden's in particular and others more generally. I can only lend my whole hearted support to anyone who wishes to do away with such terrorist groups anywhere they may be found.*p*Right now, our best hope in eradicating these terrorists is the United States government, military and her allies. I ask the gods of my people to help them identify the guilty parties, to destroy them and to make sure that such things never happen again.*p*I personally think that one of the best ways to avoid such things in the future is to extend the hand of help and friendship to anyone who wants to work for peace in the world. I also think that the hand of death and destruction should be used for those who seek to continue terrorist policies no matter where those people are located (even in the United States or its government). We are governed by laws, by shared concepts of human decency and by the bindings that are upon each of us through our birth into this creation. Let's be human to the humans and shepherds of what we can preserve. To all else, let's follow the laws of physics: to every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.*p*That which destroys, let it be destroyed. That which preserves. let it be upheld. That which is false, let it know truth without illusion. That which is misguided, let it find vision. That which is mean-spirited, let it soon know the liberation that comes from an early ending. That which is open in heart and spirit, let it expand into an ocean of spirit and all of creation.*p*Searles*p**p*herbobuckland wrote,*br*: While each of us, in our own way feels the *br*: terrible loss to humanity that the people of the *br*: recent acts of terrorism have created, there are *br*: some who look upon the tragedy through eyes of *br*: disbelief, scepticism, and outright suspicion. *br* Alternative Views of Recent Terrorist acts herbobuckland 783 Sat - Sep 22 - 4:07pm 24.37.168.64
