Earth

Home. Third planet from the Sun, and pretty much visible all the time. <G>
eclipse

Definition
ecliptic

The great circle extension of the Earth's orbit upon the celestial sphere; the same as the apparent yearly path of the Sun in the sky.
equinox

One of two points of intersection between the celestial equator and the ecliptic. (Approximately March 21 and September 23rd; the dates when day and night are of equal length.)
ethnoastronomy

The study of celestial events and objects as seen by various cultures, past and present, through their myths, legends, and rituals.
